Zendaya made her Met Gala 2025 pink carpet arrival in a stunning white go well with. The newly engaged actress wore a white go well with second for the occasion, accompanied by a dramatic hat. To the bare eye, this appears quite simple, however we really noticed a hidden which means — stroll with us.
To us, Zendaya’s look was a complete callback to Diana Ross’ traditional 1975 movie Mahogany. Within the movie, Ross performs Tracy, an aspiring clothier from Chicago who makes it huge after being supported by a preferred photographer. The movie takes many turns however ends with Tracy studying the significance of being grounded.
Whereas there isn’t any phrase on a remake of this movie occurring (a lady can solely want!), Zendaya’s look seems to be impressed by Ross’ within the movie. And Zendaya walked the carpet instantly behind Ross, who wore a surprising white robe. Passing the torch? We would prefer to assume so.
